During my short stay, I found Amsterdam to be a wonderful, colorful, vibrant, interesting, friendly, and extremely stimulating City. And just to clarify, that was while I was completely sober. 😉

To say that I’m excited about the next few months would be a huge understatement. A few of these locations have been on my “must visit” list for as long as I can remember.
Before I go any further though, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for all of your continued comments and support. I’m truly blessed to be part of such a great community of people. 🙂
My wife and I have been traveling full time since 2010, and as of March 2012, we sold everything to become totally location independent. We’re now on a perpetual world tour with no scheduled end date.

While my wife and I were in Beijing, we rented a little apartment right across the street from this view of the Forbidden City. China has some really strange weather so it was nice to be able to easily access this spot over the course of a few nights. Out of my 3 attempts with this shot, this was by far the best sunset. To be fair though, I think it was the only sunset. Every other time I shot here the sky was completely coated with a thick smog.

The Fushimi Inari Shrine with the seemingly endless path of Torii Gates was my favorite destination in all of Kyoto. Aside from the massive amount of creepy spiders, it was an incredibly soothing and spiritual feeling to walk up the mountain path. On this night there was a cool gentle breeze accompanied by the sound of thunder from an approaching storm and as the light faded, the sounds of the day were replaced with a tranquil silence that calmed me to my core.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto is very beautiful. With its tremendous architecture, It’s easy to see why it’s one of the most beloved structures in Japan.

Sometimes I’m so obsessed with getting a shot that I’ll repeat it day after day until the conditions are just right. Every once and awhile though, the weather gods smile down on me and give me the chance to get it all in just one take – in one perfect (all be it brief) window of time.
